Born Cinderella Sanyu but addressed with the stage name Cindy Sanyu (conceived 28 August 1985) is a 40 years old award-winning Uganda singer, songwriter, entertainer and actress.
She’s widely celebrated in Uganda and known to have graced some of their biggest stages, she’s performed in a show which had the likes of , , Beenie Man, Neyo, , and various others.

Cindy Sanyu who is of the Munyoro/Itesot tribe was born on the 28th of August, 1985 in Bale District, a vicinity situated in Kampala, Uganda.
Conceived into the family of eight as the fifth child, Cindy Sanyu was destined to a military faculty parents which had her having her childhood experience generally in Ntinda Barracks.

Cindy Sanyu had her primary and secondary school vocation respectively in Kampala. She attended Ngora High School where she had her high school leaving certificate.
Career
Music chose Cindy Sanyu while she was just six years old, then she turn it into passion, invested in it and is currently one of the renowned singers from Uganda.
Cindy had been involved in some of the talent hunts which involved partaking in Capital Radio All-Stars talent search where she came third at the age of 16.
In 2003, while being part of Blu*3, they were honoured with the Best Group and Best music video from Uganda in Kisima Music Awards. Other awards the team bagged included winning Video of the Year, Pearl of Africa Music Awards 2005, Video of the Year, Pearl of Africa Music Awards in 2007.
In 2008, Cindy Sanyu went solo due to some personal unsocialized reason. In 2009, she confirmed their dissolvent with the release of a debut album Ayokyayokya as a solo musical artist.
Cindy Sanyu acting career was stylized with a role in Bella, a multiple awards nominated movie which also got her nominated in some of the best awards categories in Uganda.
Personal Life
The Ugandan famous singer, Cindy Sanyu has been rumoured to be in a relationship with Ken Muyisa, before moving on to have a daughter whose name is Amani Brunetti with Mario Brunetti.
In 2026, the media space was woken up with the news that Cindy Sanyu is engaged to Joel Okuyo Prynce and they are set to get married soon.
