Sophia Momodu Potentially Winning Davido in Bitter Imade Custody Battle

Nigerian music sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as , is embroiled in a bitter custody battle with , the mother of his daughter, Imade Aurora Adeleke. Sophia, a fashion entrepreneur and Davido’s former partner, has accused the singer of abandoning their child and failing to fulfil his financial responsibilities.
The dispute escalated when Davido filed a lawsuit seeking joint custody of Imade. Sophia accused him of not seeing their daughter since July 2026 and ceasing all financial support. Through her legal representatives, Sophia also claimed Davido threatened her for refusing sexual advances and revealed she has been solely covering Imade‘s expenses, including rent, living costs, healthcare, and travel.

Davido has denied these allegations, asserting that he has fulfilled his paternal duties. He accused Sophia of rejecting his offer to stay in a condo he purchased in Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, insisting he must continue to pay ₦5 million annually for rented accommodation. He also stated that he provided vehicles for Imade‘s transportation, but Sophia failed to inform him when one of the vehicles stopped working.
The custody battle has ignited intense debate on social media, with many Nigerians expressing their opinions. Some criticize both parents for making their issues public, while others take sides, supporting either Davido or Sophia.
