Temidayo Awe and three accomplices have been convicted for their roles in the murder of Saul Murray, a case that has deeply impacted the community since it occurred in February 2026. The resolution of this case came last March when justice was served.

Reports indicate that the tragic sequence of events began when Murray shared photos of his Rolex watches on Instagram, attracting the attention of Surpreet Dhillon. Dhillon then initiated contact with Murray, leading to a meeting where both Dhillon and Temidayo Awe engaged in “sexual activity” with Murray while administering the sedative GHB to incapacitate him.

Later, Ikem Affia and Cleon Brown joined Dhillon and Awe at the location. CCTV footage captured the group entering the premises, with Affia seen carrying a large knife. The footage also depicted the group leaving, with Murray stumbling out naked before collapsing.

The investigation, which involved meticulous analysis of CCTV footage, phone records, and vehicle tracking, ultimately led to the apprehension of the perpetrators. All four were found guilty of manslaughter and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Ikem Affia received the harshest sentence, life imprisonment with a minimum term of 25 years for murder. Cleon Brown was sentenced to 11 years, while Surpreet Dhillon and Temidayo Awe received sentences of 10 and 7 years, respectively.

Detective Inspector Dale Mepstead from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit commented, “This was a meticulously planned attack, orchestrated by Dhillon and Awe and executed by Affia and Brown. Their willingness to resort to violence, evidenced by their use of a sedative on Mr. Murray and Affia’s possession of a weapon, tragically cost Mr. Murray his life.”
